Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional round of desalting using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL (Product #89882).
Target Information
Osteopontin (SPP1) is an RGD-containing glycoprotein that interacts with integrins and CD44. It plays roles in:
- Bone mineralization
- Cell adhesion and migration
- Chronic inflammatory disease
- Cellular transformation
Proteolytic cleavage near the RGD sequence modulates its integrin-binding properties. Thrombin-cleaved fragments are overexpressed in malignant glial tumors, enhancing survival and providing substrates for plasmin and cathepsin D.
