Recombinant rabbit Superclonal™ antibodies are unique offerings from Thermo Fisher Scientific. They are composed of a selection of multiple different recombinant monoclonal antibodies, providing both the sensitivity of polyclonal antibodies and the specificity of monoclonal antibodies, with the consistency achievable only through recombinant production.

While functionally similar to polyclonal antibodies—recognizing multiple epitope sites and offering higher detection sensitivity for low-abundance targets—these antibodies have a known mixture of light and heavy chains, ensuring reproducibility across lots and eliminating biological variability typical of polyclonal antibody production.

Target Information

The WNT gene family encodes secreted signaling proteins involved in oncogenesis and developmental processes, including regulation of cell fate and patterning during embryogenesis.
WNT4 is the first signaling molecule shown to influence the sex-determination cascade. It encodes a protein with 98% amino acid identity to the Wnt4 protein of mouse and rat.
WNT4 and a nuclear receptor that antagonizes the testis-determining factor play a concerted role in controlling female development and preventing testes formation.
Additionally, WNT4, WNT2, and WNT7B may be associated with abnormal proliferation in breast tissue. Mutations in WNT4 can result in Rokitansky-Küster-Hauser syndrome and SERKAL syndrome.
