Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (recommended: Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
The soluble sulfotransferases (SULTs) catalyze sulfate conjugation of xenobiotics, hormones, and procarcinogens, aiding in their metabolism and elimination.
SULT1A1 (sulfotransferase family, cytosolic, 1A, phenol-preferring, member 1) is a 295 amino acid cytoplasmic protein functioning as a homodimer. It is expressed in brain, liver, skin, and lung tissues, catalyzing sulfate conjugation of catecholamines, phenolic drugs, and neurotransmitters.
SULT1A1 may also be involved in activation of carcinogenic N-hydroxyarylamines, suggesting a potential role in carcinogenesis.
