ArgRS (Arginyl-tRNA synthetase), also known as RARS or DALRD1, is a class-I aminoacyl-tRNA synthetase that catalyzes the aminoacylation of tRNA(Arg) with arginine. It localizes to the cytoplasm, functioning as a monomer or as part of a multisubunit complex with other synthetases and auxiliary proteins. Two cytoplasmic forms exist in mammals, differing by a 73 amino acid sequence required for complex assembly.
