Target Information

ETAA1 (Ewing’s tumor-associated antigen 1), also known as ETAA16, is a 926 amino acid cytoplasmic protein highly expressed in kidney, brain, liver, and Ewing tumor cell lines.
ETAA1 undergoes post-translational phosphorylation following DNA damage, likely mediated by ATM or ATR, and may function as a tumour-specific cell surface antigen in Ewing’s family tumour cell lines.
The ETAA1 gene is located on human chromosome 2, which contains approximately 237 million bases, over 1,400 genes, and represents about 8% of the human genome.
Mutations in genes on chromosome 2 are associated with several disorders, including Harlequin ichthyosis, sitosterolemia, and Alstrom syndrome.
