Target Information
RAB21은 Ras superfamily에 속하는 소형 GTP 결합 단백질 유전자 아군의 구성원으로, 세포 내 소포체 이동에 중요한 역할을 합니다. 비극성 Caco-2 세포에서는 ER과 유사한 위치에 존재하며, 극성 세포에서는 apical vesicle에 위치합니다. RAB21은 integrin 소단위와 결합하여 RAB5/RAB21 endosome을 통한 수용체 내입에 관여합니다. 또한 GTPase-activating protein p120RasGAP은 endocytosed integrin의 세포막 복귀를 RAB21과 경쟁적으로 조절하여 세포 이동성을 제어합니다.
