Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
CD31 (PECAM-1, platelet endothelial cell adhesion molecule-1) acts as an inhibitory coreceptor regulating T and B cell signaling via dual ITIM motifs. Upon phosphorylation, these motifs provide docking sites for protein-tyrosine phosphatases.
CD31 is broadly expressed in the vascular system, mainly at intercellular junctions. Its N-terminal Ig-like domain mediates homophilic binding, critical for cell-cell interactions.
Functions include regulation of integrin-mediated adhesion, transendothelial migration, angiogenesis, apoptosis, immune signaling, autoimmunity, macrophage phagocytosis, IgE-mediated anaphylaxis, and thrombosis. It is a key regulatory molecule in vascular biology.
