Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is >95% (by SDS-PAGE).
Target Information
The LIMS1 gene encodes an adaptor protein containing five LIM domains (double zinc fingers). This protein is involved in integrin signaling through LIM domain-mediated interaction with integrin-linked kinase found in focal adhesion plaques. It likely acts as a bridge linking integrin-linked kinase to NCK adaptor protein 2, participating in growth factor receptor kinase signaling pathways. Its localization to the periphery of spreading cells suggests a role in integrin-mediated cell adhesion or spreading. Several transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
