Target Information
BACE2 (Beta Secretase 2)는 amyloid precursor protein (APP)의 단백질 분해를 담당하는 효소입니다.
BACE2는 APP의 690–691번 잔기 사이를 절단하여 β-cleaved soluble APP를 생성하고, 671–672번 사이에서도 절단할 수 있습니다.
APP의 축적은 알츠하이머병 및 다운증후군 성인 환자에서 흔히 관찰되는 특징입니다.
