Target Information
MFAP4 is a protein with similarity to a bovine microfibril-associated protein. The protein binds both collagen and carbohydrate and is thought to function as an extracellular matrix protein involved in cell adhesion or intercellular interactions. The gene is located within the Smith-Magenis syndrome region.
