BNIP1 (BCL2/adenovirus E1B 19 kDa-interacting protein 1)은 BCL2/adenovirus E1B 19 kDa 단백질과 상호작용하는 BNIP 단백질 계열의 구성원입니다. 이 단백질은 바이러스 감염에 의해 유도되는 세포사멸을 억제하는 E1B 19 kDa 단백질 및 BCL2의 유사 서열과 결합합니다. 대체 스플라이싱으로 인해 4개의 기능이 알려지지 않은 변형체가 생성되며, BNIP1 변형체는 BH3 도메인을 포함하고 있어 세포사멸 촉진 기능과 관련이 있습니다.
