GPR88 is an orphan G protein-coupled receptor (GPCR) with an unknown ligand. Expression of GPR88 has been documented almost exclusively in the striatum of the brain and not in peripheral tissues. ESTs have been isolated from diseased brain, ear, and kidney libraries.
