Target Information
Zinc-finger proteins contain DNA-binding domains and are involved in transcriptional activation or repression. Most zinc-finger proteins feature a Krueppel-type DNA-binding domain and a KRAB domain, which interacts with KAP1 to recruit histone-modifying proteins.
ZNF682 (Zinc Finger Protein 682) is a 498 amino acid member of the Krueppel C2H2-type zinc-finger protein family, localized to the nucleus. It contains eleven C2H2-type zinc fingers and one KRAB domain, contributing to DNA binding and transcriptional regulation. Two isoforms exist due to alternative splicing.
