Phospho-eIF2 beta (Ser67) Polyclonal Antibody detects endogenous levels of eIF2 beta only when phosphorylated at Ser67.
Target Information
Eukaryotic translation initiation factor 2 (EIF-2) participates in the early stages of protein synthesis by forming a ternary complex with GTP and initiator tRNA, binding to the 40S ribosomal subunit. EIF-2 consists of three subunits: alpha, beta, and gamma. The beta subunit, encoded by this gene, catalyzes the exchange of GDP for GTP, enabling EIF-2 recycling for another initiation round. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
