For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

VEGF (vascular endothelial growth factor) is a 45 kDa homodimeric, disulfide-linked glycoprotein crucial for angiogenesis, tumor progression, and metastasis. It promotes endothelial cell viability, mitogenesis, chemotaxis, and vascular permeability.
The VEGF family includes VEGF-A, VEGF-B, VEGF-C, VEGF-D, VEGF-E, and PIGF. VEGF and its receptors (VEGFR-1/Flt-1 and VEGFR-2/Flk-1/KDR) regulate angiogenic signaling, primarily in endothelial cells.
Alternative splicing generates five isoforms of VEGF, each with distinct receptor binding properties. The soluble receptor form sFLT1 acts as an inhibitor of angiogenesis by binding VEGF with high affinity.
Elevated VEGF levels are associated with POEMS (Polyneuropathy, Organomegaly, Endocrinopathy, Monoclonal gammopathy, Skin changes) or Crow-Fukase syndrome.
