Target Information
Dynamins are a subfamily of GTP-binding proteins sharing sequence similarity in the N-terminal GTPase domain. They associate with microtubules and are involved in endocytosis, cell motility, and membrane remodeling processes such as bone resorption. Dynamins interact with actin-binding and cytoskeletal proteins and can self-assemble, enhancing GTPase activity. Multiple alternatively spliced transcripts exist, though not all are fully characterized.
