Target Information
ATF3 (Activating Transcription Factor 3)는 CREB 단백질 패밀리에 속하는 전사 인자로, 약 22 kDa의 분자량을 갖는 단백질을 암호화합니다. ATF3는 ATF 결합 요소가 포함된 프로모터에서 전사를 억제하며, 대안적 스플라이싱을 통해 생성된 ATF3 delta Zip 형태는 DNA 결합 능력이 없고 전사를 자극할 수 있습니다. 이러한 스플라이싱 변형은 표적 유전자 조절에서 생리학적으로 중요한 역할을 할 가능성이 있습니다. 세 가지 전사 변이체가 확인되었으며, 두 가지 다른 아이소폼을 암호화합니다.
