TSPAN7은 transmembrane 4 superfamily에 속하는 단백질로, tetraspanin family로도 알려져 있습니다. 대부분의 구성원은 네 개의 소수성 도메인을 가진 세포 표면 단백질이며, 세포 발달, 활성화, 성장 및 이동성 조절에 관여하는 신호전달을 매개합니다.
이 단백질은 세포 표면 당단백질로서 신경돌기 성장 조절에 역할을 할 수 있으며, 인테그린과 복합체를 형성하는 것으로 알려져 있습니다.
