Target Information
Aminoacyl-tRNA synthetases는 tRNA에 해당 아미노산을 결합시키는 효소군으로, HARS2 유전자는 histidyl-tRNA 합성에 관여하는 class II aminoacyl-tRNA synthetase를 암호화합니다. 이 효소는 단백질 생합성 조절에 부수적인 역할을 하며, 인간 5번 염색체에서 HARS 유전자와 head-to-head 방향으로 위치해 있습니다. 두 유전자는 bidirectional promoter를 공유할 가능성이 있습니다.
HARS2 유전자의 돌연변이는 Perrault syndrome(난소 발육 부전 및 감각신경성 난청)을 유발할 수 있으며, 대체 스플라이싱으로 여러 전사체 변형을 생성합니다.
