Target Information
Dicer는 이중가닥 RNA(dsRNA) 엔도리보뉴클레이스(endoribonuclease)로, 짧은 dsRNA 매개 전사 후 유전자 침묵(post-transcriptional gene silencing)에 중심적인 역할을 합니다.
이 효소는 긴 dsRNA와 짧은 헤어핀 구조의 pre-miRNA를 절단하여 21~23 뉴클레오타이드 길이의 siRNA 및 성숙 miRNA를 생성합니다.
생성된 siRNA와 miRNA는 RNA 유도 침묵 복합체(RISC)의 가이드로 작용하여 상보적인 RNA를 절단하거나 번역을 억제합니다.
siRNA 매개 유전자 침묵(RNA interference)은 이동성 및 반복적 DNA 요소로부터의 전사체 제거뿐 아니라, 바이러스 유래 외인성 RNA의 분해를 조절합니다.
miRNA 경로는 표적 유전자의 발현을 정밀하게 조절하는 주요 메커니즘 중 하나입니다.
