Target Information
Anti-Rabbit secondary antibodies are affinity-purified antibodies with well-characterized specificity for rabbit immunoglobulins. They are useful in detection, sorting, or purification of rabbit IgG.
Secondary antibodies provide increased versatility by enabling multiple detection systems (e.g., HRP, AP, fluorescence) and greater sensitivity through signal amplification, as multiple secondary antibodies can bind to a single primary antibody.
Typically, these antibodies are generated by immunizing the host animal with pooled immunoglobulins from the target species, followed by purification and modification (e.g., immunoaffinity chromatography, antibody fragmentation, label conjugation) to achieve high specificity and performance.
