Target Information
NUDT16는 snoRNA 및 mRNA의 cap 구조를 금속 의존적으로 절단하는 RNA 결합 및 decapping 효소입니다.
U8 snoRNP 복합체의 구성 요소로, 성숙한 5.8S 및 28S rRNA 축적에 필요합니다.
m7G 및 m227G cap을 제거하여 5’ monophosphate RNA를 생성하며, 다양한 RNA 기질에 대해 광범위한 기질 특이성을 가집니다.
Mn²⁺ 또는 Co²⁺를 보조인자로 사용하며, snoRNA 및 mRNA 분해 조절에 관여할 가능성이 있습니다.
또한 비정상적인 퓨린 뉴클레오타이드(IDP, dIDP, GDP, dGDP 등)를 가수분해하여 RNA/DNA 전구체 풀에서 제거함으로써 염색체 손상을 방지하는 역할을 합니다.
