Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is greater than 95% (by SDS-PAGE).
Target Information
This gene encodes a membrane-associated phospholipase that exhibits lysophospholipase and phospholipase A2 activities by removing sn-1 and sn-2 fatty acids from glycerophospholipids. It also has lipase and retinyl ester hydrolase activities. The encoded protein is highly conserved and includes a large, glycosylated extracellular domain composed of four tandem homologous domains, followed by a hydrophobic membrane-anchoring segment and a short C-terminal cytoplasmic tail. This gene has been identified as a candidate rheumatoid arthritis risk gene.
