Target Information

Gentamicin is an aminoglycoside antibiotic used to treat various bacterial infections, particularly those caused by Gram-negative bacteria.
It is not used for Neisseria gonorrhoeae, Neisseria meningitidis, or Legionella pneumophila infections due to potential shock from lipid A endotoxin in certain gram-negative organisms.
