This antibody detects endogenous levels of total CDC40 / PRP17 protein.
Target Information
Pre-mRNA splicing occurs in two sequential transesterification steps. The CDC40 protein is essential for the catalytic step II in the pre-mRNA splicing process. It is a spliceosomal component containing seven WD repeats, which mediate protein–protein interactions. CDC40 shows sequence similarity to yeast Prp17, which functions in both pre-mRNA splicing and cell cycle progression, suggesting a role in cell cycle regulation.
