Target Information
The ZBTB family of proteins includes diverse zinc finger proteins containing a BTB (BR-C, ttk, and bab) domain. Although ZBTB3 is not well characterized, related proteins such as ZBTB2 are phosphorylated in response to DNA damage, likely by ATM or ATR. Other ZBTB proteins, including ZBTB4 and ZBTB38, bind methylated DNA and repress transcription, suggesting that ZBTB3 may also function as a transcriptional repressor.
