Target Information
ABL2 (Arg) is an Abl-related non-receptor protein tyrosine kinase that links cell surface receptors to cell proliferation and cytoskeletal reorganization.
It encodes a member of the Abelson family of nonreceptor tyrosine protein kinases, highly similar to ABL1, containing tyrosine kinase, SH2, and SH3 domains.
ABL2 plays a role in cytoskeletal rearrangements via its C-terminal F-actin and microtubule-binding sequences.
Expressed in both normal and tumor cells, ABL2 is involved in translocation with the ETV6 gene in leukemia.
Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Not for resale without express authorization.
