Target Information
Cytokeratin 8은 type II keratin 계열의 단백질로, 염색체 12의 장완에 위치합니다. Type I 및 Type II keratin은 상피세포의 세포질 내에서 중간 필라멘트를 형성하기 위해 이합체를 이루며, Cytokeratin 8은 일반적으로 Keratin 18과 함께 단층 상피세포에서 중간 필라멘트를 형성합니다. 이 단백질은 세포 구조적 안정성 유지와 신호전달 및 세포 분화 과정에 관여하며, 유전자 변이는 cryptogenic cirrhosis를 유발할 수 있습니다.
