Antibody detects endogenous levels of total LHR.
Target Information
LHCGR encodes the receptor for both luteinizing hormone and choriogonadotropin. It belongs to family 1 of G-protein coupled receptors (FSH/LH/TSH superfamily). Its primary function is to act as a gonadotropin receptor, regulating development and function of Leydig cells in males. It also contributes to male secondary sexual characteristic development. Mutations in this receptor can cause disorders such as familial male precocious puberty and male pseudohermaphroditism.
