IRF3 (Interferon Regulatory Factor 3)는 type I interferon (IFN)-의존적 면역 반응의 주요 전사 조절인자입니다.
DNA 및 RNA 바이러스에 대한 선천적 면역 반응에서 중요한 역할을 하며, IFN-alpha 및 IFN-beta 유전자의 전사를 조절합니다.
IRF3는 감염되지 않은 세포의 세포질에서 비활성 상태로 존재하며, 바이러스 감염이나 이중가닥 RNA, Toll-like receptor 신호에 의해 인산화되어 활성화됩니다.
활성화된 IRF3는 핵으로 이동하여 CREB 결합 단백질과 복합체를 형성하고, type I IFN 및 ISG 유전자의 전사를 촉진합니다.
