RRM1 (Ribonucleotide reductase M1 polypeptide) is one of two non-identical subunits of ribonucleoside-diphosphate reductase, an enzyme that catalyzes the biosynthesis of deoxyribonucleotides from ribonucleotides. It provides essential precursors for DNA synthesis and is implicated in carcinogenesis and tumor progression.
