NPAT은 세포주기 G1 및 S 단계의 진행에 필수적인 단백질로, MIZF와 함께 히스톤 H2A, H2B, H3, H4 유전자 전사를 활성화합니다. 또한 ATM, MIZF, PRKDC 프로모터를 양성 조절하며, NuA4 히스톤 아세틸전이효소(HAT) 복합체를 표적 유전자 프로모터로 모집함으로써 전사 활성화를 수행할 수 있습니다.
