Target Information
The plasma membrane calcium pump (PMCA ATPase) transports calcium from the cytosol to the extracellular space. This enzyme is related to other ATPases such as sarcoplasmic and endoplasmic reticulum calcium (SERCA) ATPase and the sodium/potassium pump. Four known isoforms of PMCA ATPase are encoded by a multigene family.
