For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

CTDSP1 is a class 2C phosphatase whose activity depends on the conserved DxD motif. Expression of CTDSP1 inhibits activated transcription from several promoter-reporter gene constructs, while phosphatase-inactive mutants enhance transcription.
In non-neuronal cells, neuronal gene transcription is repressed by the REST/NRSF complex, which recruits SCPs to neuronal genes containing RE1 elements, leading to gene silencing.
Inactive SCP forms interfere with REST/NRSF function and promote neuronal differentiation in P19 stem cells. Similarly, siRNA targeting Drosophila SCP unmasks neuronal gene expression in S2 cells. SCP activity thus serves as an evolutionarily conserved transcriptional regulator that globally silences neuronal genes.
