Target Information
TRIB1 (also known as GIG2) is involved in protein binding and kinase regulation. Overexpression in HeLa cells represses IL8 promoter activity by inhibiting AP1 activity. It also inhibits Ras-driven and MEKK1-mediated AP1 activation while enhancing ERK activation. Interaction studies show TRIB1 binds MEK1 and MKK4, stabilizing TRIB1 through TRIB-MAPKK interaction.
