Roledumab은 RHD를 표적으로 하는 바이오시밀러입니다. Rhesus (Rh) 혈액형 시스템은 인간에서 가장 복잡하고 중요한 시스템 중 하나로, RHD와 RHCE 두 개의 상동 유전자가 Rh 혈액형 항원을 암호화합니다.
이 유전자들은 인간 염색체 1p34.1–1p36 위치에 존재하며, RHD는 D 항원을 암호화합니다. D 항원은 강력한 면역원으로, 모체와 태아 간 Rh 불일치 시 신생아 용혈성 질환(HDN)을 유발할 수 있습니다.
RHCE 유전자는 Ce, ce, cE, CE 조합의 항원을 결정하는 네 가지 대립형으로 존재하며, RHCED 항원은 12개의 막관통 나선 구조를 가지는 적혈구 막 단백질로서 막 안정성을 유지합니다. Rh 항원 활성의 발현에는 RHCED와 RHAG(RH50) 복합체 형성이 필요합니다.
