Target Information
Leucine-rich repeat FLI-I interacting protein 1 (LRRFIP1/FLAP-1) is a MyD88-interacting signal protein that mediates induction or repression of TLR signaling.
Flap-1 directly interacts with β-catenin and activates β-catenin-dependent transcription activity.
It also binds the TNF- -308 promoter polymorphism site, suggesting a role in TNF- production regulation.
FLAP-1, LRRFIP2, and FLIIH together coordinate inflammatory response after infection and may serve as novel targets in controlling agonist-induced TLR-mediated inflammatory and autoimmune diseases.
