PKN2 (PRK2)는 PKC 계열의 근연 단백질로, 세포 분열 및 세포질 분열 종료를 조절하는 인산화 효소입니다. 세포 주기 진행, 액틴 세포골격 조립, 세포 이동 및 부착, 종양세포 침입, 전사 활성화 신호 과정에 관여합니다.
CTTN, HDAC5, FYN 등 다양한 단백질을 인산화하여 세포 접착, 이동 및 분화 과정에 영향을 미칩니다. 또한 RhoA 신호전달을 매개하며, HCV NS5B 인산화를 통해 HCV RNA 복제를 자극합니다.
