Target Information
E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase ARIH1 catalyzes ubiquitination of target proteins with E2 enzyme UBE2L3. Functions as an atypical E3 ligase in cullin-RING ubiquitin ligase (CRL) complexes, initiating ubiquitination of CRL substrates. Activated upon binding to neddylated CRL complexes. Involved in protein translation response to DNA damage via EIF4E2 ubiquitination. Plays a role in ISGylation of EIF4E2 and degradation of LINC complex member SUN2, influencing nuclear morphology and localization. [UniProt]
