Target Information
UBA6 (UBE1L2, MOP-4) is a novel E1 enzyme specific for ubiquitin and belongs to the ubiquitin-activating E1 family. It participates in the ubiquitin conjugation cascade by activating ubiquitin through adenylation and forming a thioester bond with E1 cysteine residue. UBA6 isoforms are involved in spermatogenesis and male fertility, and are highly expressed in human monocytes.
