Target Information
Vinculin (VCL)은 세포-세포 및 세포-세포외기질 부착 연결부(adherens junctions)에 관련된 세포골격 단백질입니다. F-actin을 막에 고정시키는 여러 상호작용 단백질 중 하나로 작용하며, adhesion plaque 형성 과정에서 integrin의 β 서브유닛이 talin에 결합하고, talin은 vinculin에 결합하여 α-actinin 및 자기 자신과 상호작용합니다. α-actinin이 액틴 필라멘트를 교차 결합하므로 vinculin은 세포외기질과 세포질 미세필라멘트 시스템 간의 연결에 핵심적인 역할을 합니다. 유전자 변이는 확장성 심근병증(dilated cardiomyopathy 1W) 또는 가족성 비대성 심근병증(familial hypertrophic 15)을 유발할 수 있습니다.
