For maximum recovery, please spin prior to use. Unless noted below, aliquots of the 5 µg, 10 µg, and 20 µg sizes of kinase are not recommended as materials can be used in original packaging until exhausted.
For larger sizes, the number of freeze/thaws may be reduced by preparing aliquots; aliquots below 20 µL are not recommended.
Do not store the kinase diluted. If properly stored at -80°C, this product is guaranteed for 6 months from the date of purchase.

Target Information
The Class II PI3 kinases, including PIK3C2A, phosphorylate the 3 position of PI or PI4P. Although not as well studied as Class I PI3 kinases, Class II enzymes are linked to receptor-mediated cellular processes such as insulin signaling, neuronal survival, and growth factor signaling.
PI3-kinases are involved in pathways regulating cell proliferation, oncogenic transformation, survival, migration, and intracellular trafficking.
This protein includes a lipid kinase catalytic domain and a C-terminal C2 domain characteristic of Class II PI3-kinases.
C2 domains act as calcium-dependent phospholipid binding motifs that mediate membrane translocation and protein-protein interactions.
The PI3-kinase activity of this protein is not sensitive to nanomolar levels of the inhibitor wortmannin. It can be activated by insulin and may participate in integrin-dependent signaling.
