GLRA1 유전자의 결함은 startle disease(STHE), hereditary hyperekplexia 또는 congenital stiff-person syndrome의 원인이 됩니다.
GLRA1은 여러 전사 변이체를 가지며, hippocampus, spinal cord, brain stem 등 CNS 전반에 분포합니다.
GLRA1 관련 질환으로는 Hyperekplexia, Hereditary 1 및 Hyperekplexia가 보고되어 있습니다.
