Target Information
The betaIII-tubulin isoform is dominantly expressed in cells of neuronal origin and serves as one of the earliest markers of neuronal differentiation. It is regarded as a specific probe for neuronal cells and tumors derived from them. BetaIII-tubulin is most abundant in neuronal cells but is also found in Sertoli cells of the testis and transiently in non-neuronal embryonic tissues.
