Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
The modification of proteins with ubiquitin is an essential cellular mechanism for targeting abnormal or short-lived proteins for degradation.
Ubiquitination involves three classes of enzymes:
- E1: Ubiquitin-activating enzymes
- E2: Ubiquitin-conjugating enzymes
- E3: Ubiquitin-protein ligases
This gene encodes a member of the E2 ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme family. The encoded protein shares 100% sequence identity with the mouse counterpart and is ubiquitously expressed, with high expression in adult muscle. Three alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been identified.
