This antibody detects endogenous levels of total CHRNA10.
Target Information
CHRNA10 is an ionotropic receptor involved in the modulation of auditory stimuli. Agonist binding induces conformational changes that open an ion-conducting channel across the plasma membrane. The channel is permeable to divalent cations, including calcium, which may activate a potassium current leading to membrane hyperpolarization. In the ear, this mechanism can reduce basilar membrane motion, alter auditory nerve activity, and protect against acoustic trauma.
