Target Information
CD98 (4F2) is a type II transmembrane glycoprotein that serves as the heavy chain of heterodimeric amino acid transporters (HATs).
It forms disulfide-linked complexes with various light chains, mediating cell surface expression and basolateral localization in polarized epithelial cells.
CD98 also interacts with β1 integrins, enhancing ligand affinity, and plays roles in cell fusion, activation, differentiation, growth, and apoptosis regulation.
