Target Information

U2AF1 gene belongs to the splicing factor SR family. The U2 auxiliary factor, composed of large and small subunits, is a non-snRNP protein essential for U2 snRNP binding to the pre-mRNA branch site. The small subunit encoded by this gene plays a critical role in RNA splicing by mediating interactions between the large subunit and enhancer-bound proteins. Alternative splicing variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
