Background
이 유전자는 아데노신 삼인산가수분해효소(ATPase)와 연관된 단백질을 암호화합니다. Proton-translocating ATPase는 에너지 보존, 2차 능동 수송, 세포 내 소기관의 산성화, 세포 내 pH 항상성 유지에 중요한 역할을 합니다. ATPase에는 F, P, V 세 가지 클래스가 있으며, V형 ATPase는 막관통성 양성자 전도 부위와 막 외 촉매 부위로 구성됩니다. 이 단백질은 V형 ATPase의 막관통 부위와 연관되어 있는 것으로 알려져 있습니다. (RefSeq, Jul 2008)
