Background
Radixin은 세포골격 단백질로, actin을 세포막에 연결하는 데 중요한 역할을 합니다. Ezrin 및 Moesin과 높은 서열 유사성을 가지며, radixin 유전자는 11q23에 위치합니다. RDXP2(11p) 및 RDXP1(Xp21.3) 위치에 각각 다른 형태의 유사유전자가 존재합니다. 다양한 스플라이싱 변형체가 보고되어 있으며, 서로 다른 isoform을 생성합니다. (RefSeq, May 2012)
